Yea good point... but I doubt he got emotional problems from it.

I completely disagree. You were in the military, can you imagine people coming up to you saying that you were a disgrace to your country and your service because you opposed the views of your Commander and Chief while you were a member serving in Iraq?

That would hurt, especially if that was the exact opposite of how you felt.

Yea I definetly feel you on that one. But 85Million? COme on...

I dont understand how people here, or this country, can even ALLOW people to sue for all that.

Agreed 1 million pain and suffering + a percentage of the profit comparable to the amount of time the interview was in the movie [/judgeSwaggs]

I don't think it's the country that's driving him to make these movies. I think it's the shortcomings he sees in the system, and attempts to bring it to the otherwise indifferent masses.

Great article:

If you can't draw a line between the country and the people who run it, or the common American and the corporations that profit off of them, then you should definately revaluate how you view the world.

Don't get me wrong; I think Michael Moore is a fanatical blowhard. But unlike many others out there, like Hannity, Coulter, Melkin, and about 90% of talk radio, he actually has facts to back up his assertations, and welcomes critical thought of his work.

I do hope Moore handles this in a civil way. He's apparently a really nice guy in person, and likes to work problems out (so I've heard indirectly from people who have worked with him.)

120 Million. How much did Moore keep? I don't know for this movie, but on Bowling for Columbine, he didn't take any of the profit. As I understand he had signed an agreement in advance with the producers that all profit above the cost of making the movie would go to them, not Moore.

Very good. Works for me.

That makes no sense at all. So you are saying for the same problem... you should be able to sue someone who is rich for more money then someone who is poor?

If I did that to you in my documentary you should only sue me for $85... while if it was Micheal Moore you should be able to sue for 85M? No way. You sue and are awarded based on the injury, not who you are suing.
