pal is europe, ntsc is US

Tmpegenc is the encoder, you need to convert the files to NTSC MPEG2

I found a program on my computer that will convert a bunch of files to NTSC MPEG2, whereas TMPEGEnc will only do one at a time.

It's been a while but I think Tmpegenc will do a batch encode.

-you need to do NTSc
-TMPG does do batch encodes.

the only reason i use tmpg is because the speed/quality ratio is better than some other programs.

check out the AVI-> vob guides at videohelp.com and you should be able to find one that suits your needs/easy to use

I'm using Absolute Video Converter right now. I'm trying to put a Survivor season on and its taking forever. 16 files, on the 4th right now and its been going for 10 hours.
My dad is going to be putting a converter on his unix machine at work(A huge ass Sun machine. Dual processors. Its about 3' x 3' x 3') Then my conversions will fly.
