Default rape me up the bum-hole

So I got this XP Installation CD of E-bay. Got it still in package, but since it orignally came with a Dell PC there was no Product Key on the package. So I called Microsoft and they told me I would have to call Dell because it's their product and they couldn't help me at all. So they transfer me to Dell and I talk to one lady and she tells me it will cost me a minimum of $99 to speak to a technician. I told her screw that, cause I could fix my problem cheaper than that. So I call Microsoft again, and get the same guy, I told him what Dell said and he said he still couldn't help me because it was not their software. So I asked him if Microsoft made Windows XP or not, he says yes. So then I ask why can't you help me with your software, you can provide support for your own software? he says because they give the product keys to Dell so Dell would have to help me. Ok, so if you give Dell the product keys, then why can't you get the cd code off the cd i have, and find the code for me. Well we don't offer support for Dell software, and we don't have the keys. So after a yell at him awhile, I told him this is one reason why I've been switching over to Linux, becasue it's free, has more to offer than Windows, and has support for more things than Microsoft.
So I call Dell back up, and they say they can't help me because if I lose the product key, or if I get the software from somewhere else it my problem and I will have to buy XP again.

And how exactly is it MS' fault that you made a bad purchase of their software You should have made sure a key was included in the sale :slap:

Besides it is illegal for the person to sell the Dell disc

But the software licensing no longer is theirs to deal with....what don't you understand about them selling the license and responsibility to Dell are you not understanding?

the licensing is valid only if used as a bundle with a Dell computer purchase. Stamped somewhere in there are the words "not for resale" or it is stated in the EUL you click agree on
