Besides they can help you

So they transfer me to Dell and I talk to one lady and she tells me it will cost me a minimum of $99 to speak to a technician.

OK here is where I get frustrated and call you a complete moron for not understanding the most basic of thefterizing ideas and how companies enforce DRM and software theft laws.

You can call Dell and it will cost you $99 to speak to a tech and you will get your help...the lady on the phone already told you that.

Why is it I can read your story as you typed it and understand that much, yet you who made the phone calls missed that entire concept?

HAHAHAHAHA

Sorry man.....you just got owned by buying MS the "wrong" way. You should have just bought a valid CD from the store. Dell CD's are licensed to the actual Dell machine it came with. That's it. No if's or but's. The guy who sold or gave you the CD should have told you that.

The $99 fee is what they would probably charge for a license on XP....

Finally, Dell CD's NEVER come with a key. Our company purchase Dell exclusively....
