Ya, but on startup I should be able to read that with a hardware monitor. I see exactly where you're coming from and I'm going to look into it. There are plenty of people on www.mp3car.com that run carputers and I haven't seen anything mentioning overheating from being in the car. Also realize that I live in Colorado. It hasn't even hit 80 deg here yet this year. If it starts getting really hot, I can just pull the laptop and bring it inside with me to work. Good looking out.

Yes, definitely. All wiring was run under the panels on each side of the car. The power wire on one side; the data/audio on the other to deter any possible interferance. It's quite clean if I do say so myself.
