if you want a long battery life, you do not want the mini. apparently the battery life on the nano isn't all that great either.

Either one + a deep cycle car battery = WiNNaR!!!!

Those things suck up more power than they do money from your bank account. I wouldn't consider either.

I have a 2gb Nano and I'm quite pleased with it. I usually charge it up every 3 days or so.

Go with the nano. Much smaller and better battery life (i think).

I could run the 4GB Nano (Black) for 9-10 hours almost straight....i work 10 hours a day and I run the Nano all day long.

But, it also depends on how much you have the LCD display on for....that things just sucks the hell out of battery.

I just picked up a Creative Zen Vision: M last night. I've barely had a chance to use it so far, but it works great so far. Plus, I didn't have to re-encode any of my music to get it to play. Battery life is claimed at 14 hours for music and 4 for video, so we'll see how accurate that is.

Since the nano is using flash technology, I'd get that one. Less power to run it.

they should really invent somesort of nano player. go in the car insert your nano (as you would insert a cd) and voilà... no wires, cutomized trays or i know know what what...just put it in like a cd or tape.
