Honda almost has that with their Ipod stuff now with the Navi package.

Correct, having something like a USB port that can read music files (of many diffrent types) that can also provide power to the unit would be ideal.

I dislike when some mfgr favors one particular media player or the other. Just use a generic port that they can all use (USB) and be done with it.

I'm just gonna get a cheap Sandisk Sansa 1 gig...comes with an armband and case for free...not add on accessories like the iPod...and it takes a AAA battery that can be replaced. o:

Nano would be better since a NEW Mini is about 60% more than its original MSRP
if you want, later on this year Apple will have 8 gig Nano

I'm aware of the short battery life on my video iPod, however it doesn't matter since I'm always near a power supply and I charge it in my car.

If it was a big deal for me, I would consider the cool stuff from iAudio.
