yeah remember when speed used to show it? when there was something other than nascar on the station or stupid shows like unique whips. apparently OLN is possibly going to take over coverage of WRC maybe....hopefully. i think we need to get a petition or something. possibly call speed a couple times a day and say theres more to racing than a straight line or left turns. dont get me wrong i got nothing against nascar, i dont think its as intertaining or requires as much skill as something like WRC tho. we should get coverage of the Dakar back also.

 

Yeah I'd much rather watch the WRC than some of that Nascar BS, but WRC needs to actually come to America for a race or two for once before people are going to get into it. On a multi-billion dollar level anyway, like Nascar is on.

it was on late sunday nights here. god i miss wrc. it was so much mroe fun to watch then nascar.

 

I use to watch Speed channel often. However, then they started showing more shows that had less entertaining value for me so I probably don't watch something on it unless it catches my eye while channel surfing.

 

I only watch Speed for F1 these days... and sometimes Pinks.

 

f1 isnt bad, but pinks is always the same thing. if wrc was to come here it would probly be for only a few races, the best bet would be to make a us wrc. it worked for the d1 events, they are slowly gaining popularity. im just tired of seeing a bunch of dumb car shows that are supposed to be directed to our "culture", look at street trends on g4tv, what the hell is that?

 

i've always thought about merging nascar and wrc driving format

one nascar gets on the track at a timed interval with a co driver...they read out the driving instructions in 'merican Hick...lewft, lewft, lewft, lewft and repeat 200-500 times

when they get next to another car they can throw stuff at other drivers (such as old applicances from their front lawns) or make obscene gestures or moon them for the crowds delight (maybe girl co-drivers can flash the crowd of mullets and budweiser connoiseurs)

 

I agree WRC is great and really cool to watch, those drivers have huge balls. F1 is boring. NASCAR is great because the races are actually close and ususally decided in the last couple of laps, unlike F1. If it wasn't for pitstops there would be few to no lead changes in F1. In the 05 F1 season only 5 people won a race and 14 of the 19 races were won by either Raikkonen or Alonso. In the first 19 races of the 05 NASCAR season there were 10 different winners and by the end of the season 15 different drivers had won a race. I don't know about you but i'd rather watch a race where almost anyone can win. Also you have to admit it takes some skill to drive a 3400lb car with 800hp on a 12" wide slick.
As for the other shows on Speed, most of them suck.
