Element can't tow more than a 1500 pounds and that has to include the weight of the trailer.

a very generous estimate we could say 50% of suv owners have some need to tow over 1500 pounds...then there is the other million that never use their powerful suv for rugged towing, off roading, etc...but rather urban commando vehicles able to swallow 15 bags of groceries or get through that snowstorm every once in a long while

here are some trailers that can work with the Element and likely more than enough needed

http://www.sportutilitytrailers.com/

the twice in the last 6 years i needed a truck to tow something i rented a cargo van from enterprise for $40 per day...i made up that $40 spent for the rentals within a month of paying $30 per fillup instead of $80

i bought the element as i have to haul a bunch of stuff b/c we are moving...then have been using it to camp out of when at the race track for 944 cup sessions (saves me lots of money)

I like my EP although I am getting sick of driving manual I say get rid o the Ram and Jetta and go get your Element. Element+Integra wouldn't be too costly for gas either Also you own the Integra out right so that would be a good choice IMO.

towing isnt much of a concern, in 2 years of owning the Ram, I've flat towed twice and pulled a car dolly (unloaded) once.
