Default What should I do?

I'm looking at buying this car> http://spokane.craigslist.org/car/145423145.html

I've been looking for a Rex for 6 or 7 months and just found it a couple weeks ago. No rust, drives great, small dent on the roof and a small ding on the drivers side, thats it. Cracked taillight but its not bad, doesn't leak. Theres a tear in the drivers seat. It has a y8 minime swap in it with a 6 something clutch(Can't remember the term). I'm going to be doing a motor swap this summer on it. The drivers axle is new. Car has 175k engine has 90k. I was on the verge of buying it but when I took it to my mechanic I found out the emissions level was 6 times higher than legal(Getting too much fuel). So I said no deal unless she fixed it. She had her friend at Honda take a look at it and he said the the problem was the cat, fuel injectors, and o2 sensor. I just got an email back after telling her to let me know when its fixed, and she said she can't afford to fix it so either I buy it as it is, or no deal.

I'm really torn on what to do. Get the car I love and want but risk it still no passing emissions with that stuff fixed, or leave it and risk not getting a rex at all.

ask to knock off a good bit of the price to "get a new cat" assuming that's all it really is

Speaking from experience. Just wait it out man. Eventually a great car will come along. I was tempted to buy every hatch I saw with "minor dings, small mechanical problemts, etc." but I waited it out and happend across my car 10 minutes from my house for quite a bit cheaper than everywhere else.

Just ask yourself, does it feel right? Do you really want THIS car? Or is it more worth it to you to wait for the right one. With no problems.

See I won't be able to get a better deal. There are only a handful of rexs in my county. This is the first one I've seen for sale within 200 miles, thats below 5k.

Does anyone know an approximate price on fuel injectors(They might just need cleaning), cat and o2 sensor?
They shouldn't be too expensive, right? Cat $30, o2 15-25? Is that right or am I totally off? I'm trying to search around but I'm not finding anything.

$50 or so for injectors if you look around
$50-100 on used cat depending where and how good of a deal you get
$30 or so for o2 sensors (i think)

I might talk to my mechanic and see if he thinks that will fix it. I wish there were more CRXs and more hatchs in general. There are more civic hatchbacks than crxs, but not much more.
