man, every time there is a hard drive thread, its always 'stay away from western', 'stay away from maxtor', 'stay away from seagate'. everyone has their own opinion, i dont believe anyone anymore
all drives have their fair share of failures.
maxtor had an issue with their deskstar line a few years ago, but they, and other drive manufacturers have gotten their act together and failures with newer drives are less prevalent.
everyone has their opinion.

yes is true I aggree with you guys. I guess "I" will stay away from western digital and I also had a new maxtor who failed on me brand new. I stay away from western digital because I had about 5 brand new western hd that crap out on me within months and I would never forget how I got 2 new western in one day and they both die at the same time months later. but thats my opinion and sometime is good to talk about it and share our opinion that way they see we are spreading the word and they get their act togethere.
If we buy a good prodduct then we also talk positive about that product.
