I think you might just save both of you a LOT of headache, by just clearing the ticket by going to traffic school. You fucked up, learn from it and move on. If you go to court and tell the judge what happened, you BOTH might get screwed. The judge you get might get pissed. PLUS.. the cop that fell for it might get the judge to be harder on you.

He got a ticket for 35 mph over the limit and a ticket for reckless driving. In New York, thats 13 points according to the NY DMV site. I'm pretty sure I can't get 13 points cleared through traffic school?

Oh, and on the NJ DMV site, it says that out of state moving violations are only 2 points apiece. So am I looking at 4 points or 13 points? The only reason why I'm doubting this is because thats a huge difference. It doesn't seem just.

I'm going to call a lawyer first thing tomorow. I just want to see if I can find out what to expect.

If I can't get the points completely cleared, I'm probably going to screw my "friend" over. I don't get how he could show the cop my license. Honestly, what the fuck.

either you take 2 points.....

or your friend gets in trouble for reckless driving, driving without a license, and providing false id to a cop.

if youre not going to screw your cousin... screw your friend over. :hsdunno:

4, if the out of state thing holds true.

Screwing my 'friend' over is the last thing I want to do, but there is no way my family can afford an increase of my insurance rates.
