Default where is the dividing line for time zones?

Is it possible to live on the border of a time zone? It has to start somewhere, right?

Of course it's possible to live on the boundary between time zones, some towns are divided by it. It's like driving on the edge of a rain storm, I was on the Expressway once and it was raining in the lane next to me for about two miles, and not raining on my car....pretty weird. There's always an edge.

happened to me last week. True story.

Dry until right after an underpass.

You could see a visible line on the freeway where the dry ended and the wet began

If you are divided by a time zone, you get cut in half by a big machete.
