Of course it's possible to live on the boundary between time zones, some towns are divided by it. It's like driving on the edge of a rain storm, I was on the Expressway once and it was raining in the lane next to me for about two miles, and not raining on my car....pretty weird. There's always an edge.

Dry until right after an underpass.
You could see a visible line on the freeway where the dry ended and the wet began
