Is it really true...
edmunds.com did a real test on this a few days ago. i saw it on msnbc.com (or cnn.com). they used a range rover and mustang and did several trials for each test. at highway speeds, the difference was about 0.3% in mpg. i wish i had the link, but thats the gist of it.
on the highway, it lowers your RPM's and saves gas but for stop and go, you have to accelerate harder to get up to speed cuz the ac compressor robs power.... so you use more gas.
i think thats how it goes

nope,
Mythbusters did a test, by constantly driving at same speed around and around the track. With A/C, the car uses more gas. So the old myth of having windows down = saving gas has been proved.

......but the difference wasn't even significant enough to really make a difference....you will get pretty much around the same mpg
I was just wondering cus this summer im actually going to be driving and this summer im going to be having to pay $3.00+ for gas...so i figured might as well get this information straight
