Default no power on my gs-r...

i have a 91 integra with a 95 jdm gsr..i convert the wiring to an obd1 except the injectors..the car has a hard time starting when its cold and does put out the power it suppose to..when driving the car is sometime normal but has a hard time getting up..when i smash on the pedal, the car doesn't even get up..but when 6k gets around in vtec, the car will put...i have no power on the lower end at all..the car surge on the low rpm until 4k or 5k..i have a stock gsr throttle body with a skunk intake manifold,dc 4-1 header,ACT extreme pressure plate with a 6 puck disc, and 8lb ACT flywheel..could it be the valve clearances or blown head gasket...all vaccum hose are hook up and no leaks...i also have a new distributor and my timing is set correctly...any help or advice out there...

Do a compression and leakdown test.

Check your spark plugs/wires anything that has to do with fuel/spark - My guess because I had a similar problem in my 240 but meh who knows it applies to both worlds.

Check your plugs to see if one or more is fouled. Test each cylinder for spark. Check your camshaft timing.

Likely electrical. Oh btw, you don't need that 6-puck clutch.

Is it possible for vtec to engage and then cut out through the rev range? Cause mine has been doing that lately. :hsugh:

Could be a faulty oil pressure switch, coolant temp switch, knock sensor, etc.
