Went to the shooting range since I had some spare time. This time, I have a new stock and barrel.

I went and got a few different rounds so I can find out what I can group and what ammo my rifle likes. I was stupid and spent all 100rd of my Mini Mags sighting the scope...only to find out that I ran out of vertical adjustment on my scope :doh: I need new rings. :hs: I was also talking with this guy that was shooting a .30-.357 (thinking). But that thing was LOUD. I was helping him set up his chronograph and he was hitting 3100-3200 ft per second!...

Anyway, here is how I did. The new barrel is MUCH better than the factory one. All of these were at 25 yards.

Remington High Velocity 10 rounds - 25 yards


Federal Auto Match 10 rounds - 25 yards


Federal Auto Match again 10 rounds - 25 yards


Federal Bulk 10 rounds - 25 yards

At 50 yards, I did better with the Federal Auto Match than I did with the Federal Bulk at 25 yards. But I threw those targets in the trash h: I have a lot more work to do in terms of shooting better :hs:

get a scope FTW tho that wont improve your skills...i've always wondered what wind does to sniping and how do they correct for that and distance too like they the the guy with the scope to tell the distance and wind speed..what does that mean and how does it affect the shot anyone know?

 

I have a scope. I really would like to see someone shoot those groups with iron sights h: Wind plays a big factor...I mean it can move the bullet in any direction throwing it off. When you get good, you learn to read distances and read windage with flags.
