Yes, because that would be very affordable and is highly comprable to the MKIII Supra.

No. Mine has over 170k on the original engine, 146k on the original on my last one when I sold it. TII's tend to last ~150k, N/A's into the 175-200k range if you take care of them. Mk.III's tend to chunk headgaskets about as often as a rotary pops a seal. Funny thing with that though, you can almost always still drive on a "blown" rotary.

Anyway, if you want light and are afraid of the rotary, go 240.

Track means Auto-X and maybe some drag for fun. Mostly auto-x and maybe those time trial road courses (Dont know what the term for that is).

I read about MKIII guys putting down around 320whp with just bolt-ons and that just sounds so sexy.

What else would you suggest if not a Supra? Thanks again.
RUN AWAY!!!! :eek5r:

the mkiii would make a worse autocross car than an 85 toyota 4-banger work truck, I'm not joking.

If you want a competitive autocross car, get an EF civic, sentra SE-R, miata or the like, and keep it stock.

I agree with whitey.

Start in stock class with a proven performer then consider if you want to take on a potential financial disaster such as the mkIII or the FC.

and just to hammer the point home
I've seen this guy race, and believe me, he would hand Michael Schumacher his ass in a mkiii.

Yeah it's real. Look for my "about my avatar" thread I had which has a link to the article.
