Stroke is typically accompanied by dizziness and altered mental states, and a host of neurological signs (one hand is stronger than the other, pupils dilate on one side only, one side looks "droopy"). Cardiac trouble is usually accompanied by respiratory problems (getting really tired with exertion, unable to catch one's breath).

Either way, what Chef said is right: Do not wait. Get a doctor's appointment and be seen soon.

well now he is "better" they did an angioplasty... his back hurts like a bitch cause they used the difribilator on him and he jumped also bed sore i guess. I can't beleive what he looks like... looks like he aged 10 years in 1 day :wtc: He also has water in his lungs now... can lead to a pneumonia which would complicate things.

Thank you for your support thought i really appreciate it. i am happy to see that alot of you guys know people who had strokes/heart attacks but still goes on living "normal" life. my dad is hardheaded thought it will be one hell of a fight to make him understand that he need to change his lifestyle.

It's worse when a healthy 50 year old male dies within 2 months of being diagnosed with cancer.

Being in the hospital is the best thing for him right now. I hope he recovers quickly. Good luck with everything.

Sorry about your dad. My dad just went through several weeks of tests and such and he still doesn't look like it old self. It's sad to say, but everyday I fear will be my last day with him.
