Default anyone know about css?

im tryin to dick around with css a little bit..

if you go to www.teambdb.com/css (its just a template thing im workin on). the two words that are linked on the right hand side, if you go over them, then the side bar moves up then when you hover over a link in the sidebar, it drops back down.. i linked the word updating on the right hand side also to the same page, but it doesnt affect the sidebar.

any ideas?

www.teambdb.com/css/index.htm - page
www.teambdb.com/css/style.css - style sheet

here's what i do, and it's a little hard to get used to, but i code to standards, not to browsers. if the code is correct, which you can check here, then i wouldn't be overly concerned if it didn't work in ie. of course, theoretically, if you code to standards, it should work in any browser, but the browser people haven't caught on to that yet.
