anyway, i'm also amused at how, for years, apple put these benchmarks out that stated that their PowerPC processor would outperform Intel by leaps and bounds. and now that they're on Intel themselves, suddenly the Intel processor is quadrupling the performance of their previous hardware. yeah, right.. :chuckles:

No the mini does not. Usually people who buy Macs don't want the CRT monitors that Dell includes anyways. You'd want to upgrade your monitor.

As for the PPC processor in short, the IBM PPC was limiting on what it can do because of temperature issues with the PPC G4 processor. Now that they made the move to the Intel processor, they can do more... in short.

But you're right about them bragging that the PPC chip was faster. They couldn't get the 3ghz processor to stop overheating.

I'm an event photographer and have to manipulate at least 1,000 images per job. I use a program called Workstream DS, and it only works on Windows. The G5 is for Final Cut Pro which needs no introduction.

The PPC is what's in the XBOX 360 and the PS3.

I just have one thing to say.

Hmmmm.... Working for an Apple Authorized dealership, the conspiracy remarks are embedded in my brain. I thought the story was someone sold Wazniak and Jobs out and sold some codes to Gates. I'm am apparently wrong. h:

only the bottom of the barrel Dells include CRTs by default. and by bottom of the barrel, i mean the one that costs $379, and the other that costs $299, and maybe a dimension here and there. get into the XPS series, and you get a 19" LCD included (20" for the top).

Just like apple products, I will choose to answer that.

I stated that, I, me, see no benefit from buying an apple computer. That doesn't mean that people aren't. I'm just saying that there is no benefit to doing so, so the people buying them... well... lets just say they must not be the brightest in the bunch.

Ohhh, hold back on those "it's easier" "better for graphics!" "OMG it's sooo cute!" bullshit statements. That's oppinion and not a basis for fact.
