This scares me because I think sony will loose an edge in R&D on their new machine because they are being forced to do this. I think this go around, microsoft or nintendo are going to take the dominant figure in the game industry. Sony at this last one by a LONG shot. Maybe they got cocky?

 

PS3 has some titles that will be coming out that will make people buy the system for the game. yes its true, kind of like xbox and halo, Metal Gear, FF, etc... for PS2.... Mario, Zelda, Metroid for GC, etc...Each sytem has its quirks and all of them have there fan boys h:

 

it has no competition currently but it's still hard to even find one so it's not that big of a deal. yeah production is supposed to ramp up but it should have been that way before last christmas.

 

HALO 3 will NOT launch when the PS3 comes out. Bill Gates said this from his own mouth. He's giving Bungie enough time to make a complete package and have it come out in 2007. It'll probably come out the same time the movie comes out, which will be a Microsoft marketing powerhouse.

 

Interesting, good to hear. I'd rather them spend time on making the game legendary rather than paying attention to their greed.

 

As soon as Halo 3 comes out, I'll be able to justify picking up a 360.

 

When 2 came out ... I'd go to work from 7 to 4 .. play from 5 till 2am

I've heard some good comments about how well rounded the system is. That still doesn't change anything for me though, I still don't have the money to put down on a system like that. If the PS3 still looks attractive in November, I'll definitely get that. Mostly for Metal Gear :drool:

 

that's what's killing it for me too. $400 + tax + warranty = close to $500 without a game. :a:

 

I miss the days of a $299 system being absurd :wtc:
