Skelly, why do you have a psu email? I know I get occasional junk, and I think its from companies that actually spend the time going through the student directories. I never give out my student account. PSU Webmail is already slow enough without me having more junk added to it.

 

I don't even read email from Paypal. If it's important I'll see it when I login.

i recently got the real email.. and somone tried to transfer $350 from my bank account, to pay for some auction in germany. luckily paypal caught it before i did.. and reversed the transaction.

 

Most likely the link in the email goes to an IP address or a link that isn't anywhere close to the domain, paypal.com. I think it's genious that people are doing this. There are so many stupid people out there to take advantage of. If you click that link and don't look at the address bar before entering your information, you DESERVE to be ripped off.

And for the record, clicking it does nothing, it's what you fill out on that page and then click submit that really screws you up. I usually fill out bogus stuff then click submit. It makes em mad i'm sure.

I got the same email today. I clicked on the link and thunderbird popped up and said, "You idiot, this email looks shady as shit." So I deleted it.
