As you should, it's sickening to see apathetic people complain but do not attempt to make a stand. Politics is inherently corrupt you just have to have watch dogs or else the corruption will get out of hand.

well figure in the old cliche "what about the doctor that lied/cheated his way through college".... just because they are doing well now... and they understand everything now doesn't mean that they should be able to keep their job. Having the knowledge they lied, and letting them keep their job will only encourage others to be "harvard graduates" and whatnot...

sorry to be semi-on topic

because they lied and cheated durrr. It's the principle behind things, if people want liars and cheaters to work for them they will hire them. It is their business practice and they have the discretion to fire/hire whomever they please. Most places of business even ask you to sign an agreement in most contracts that state that all the information you have submitted is truthful/accurate to your knowledge. Therefore lying invalidates that contract and therefore is grounds for your dismissal.

i know criminal background checks and drug checks r done. depends on the company and the position as to checking the resume for accuracy. if its a position that requires a license like mine an rn. the employer will check to make sure you have a valid one and you are who u say you are...
