the car is big on the outside and tiny on the inside. where did all the room go? i wish it was just a little bigger. it feels really cramped inside and especially in the rear.

Actually I disagree, it's pretty roomy upfront, but the rear is tight. But then again, this is a driver's car, and If they can have more space upfront at the expense of rear, than be it. Better than the TSX or 3 series, which are cramped both ways.

yup, I agree with OP totally. The new IS is very nice. I'm currently switching my G35C for my fiance's 250 this week. Though it's a 250, that thing is pretty quick. I like every feature it has. The only thing I didn't like much is the volume counts. It seems that I have to turn it up a lot (30) to get the music going, compared to ~14 counts on the G35C with 8-BOSE speakers. For the IS250 we had the Premium package + 18", so we didn't get the Nav+DVD feature nor 14 speakers (7.1) setup. We only had 13 for the 5.1 setup but it's still nice.

To add on to OP's list, the interior has LED lamps. It gives off nice cool white lights. It even lights up your feet too (don't have to switch it on or off. Even cup holders has white lights too. It's give off a nice cool feeling without being annoyingly white. Also comes with Aux Input for Ipods, etc. Full motorized seat adjusting for both drivers and passengers.

The Keyless feature is the best thing. Just walk to the door, and it automatically opens the second you pull the handle. It has hidden Key within the remote so you can use it in case the remote died. Push Start button is very cool. Even when the remote is bad, you can still start it since it's still sending some kind of signals. It'll alert you when you start the car and walk off with the key; and lock the car down when someone tries to drive it off. Also, it won't lock the car if it senses that the key is still located inside the car.

Stock for stock, that car outhandled my G35C on corners, curves etc. Even after I upgrade the G with the Eibach Adjustable Sway bar set, it is only then it and handle just a Tiny bit better than the IS250.

And yes, I love having fun with the shift paddle. I don't know what some of you think, but that thing is fun. It shifts good (6spd Auto) and launches good, almost matching my G regardless the difference in 80+ hp.

Overall, I give Lexus a thumb up for their new IS models. We almost got the 350, but since we already have the G35C, she wants a nice commute car that can save gas as well. We're now averaging 25.2mpg. That's pretty good for a decent quick car.

after seeing the new IS in person, i actually like it a lot. but yeah, it would definitely be a lot better if it had a 6spd manual tranny. if i were to get a japanese compact car, id get that.

The 250 handles great, but it's kinda sluggish. The 350 is a beast, but its doesn't handle as well.

I don't know but the IS350 that we test drove loaded with options including the sport package handled like a dream.

The IS250 is lil sluggish but when you turn the control switch for ECT PWR on instead of normal, that thing can do really well. I noticed a huge difference.

the 102hp gap is between the 250 and 350 is too much. i think there should have been an is300 instead of a 250. the engine is already in use in the gs300. 245hp and 230lb-ft looks a lot better than 204hp and 185lb-ft. maybe during it's refresh/facelift? :rick:
