DR's do. Spend 5 minutes doing a burnout and run outside and touch your tire. It might be slightly warm to the touch but it won't get sticky hot like a DR or slick.

honestly, i didn't know that. maybe it was all in my head.
On street tires I just spin them a little before the line. All it does is clean them off so you can prepare to spin some more all the way down the track
