Why can't you drive it down to a shop?
The rear is soft because it's a crush wall to prevent bending the frame around the cabin. Had this been a 25+ collision it would be totalled probably.

I could drive it to a shop, but my left rear taillight is in operable and will probably short.

Hm I guess so.

Unplug your taillight and do the deed. I passed a truck towing a trailer last night in the snow with no rear lights whatsover. Some idiot with shitty headlights almost rear ended him, I :lmao: If he can do it you can do it

drive it to your body shop, get the estimate, then come back and ask if you should report it. im gonna go with yeah.

lots more than 500$ worth of damage there, esp cuz they will have to do paint work.

I really don't feel like driving it around showing off my damage.

Put tarpaulins on it and tell people it's a concept car that you can't show them.

eh.. looks like the bumper was missed, which would of course result in more damage.

they'll probably want to see the car in person to give a more accurate estimate on the damage.

man, that sucks.

Why did it have to hit my Jeep. Earlier that day it was sitting in the road, the car would have rolled down the driveway (still hitting that railroad tie) but i would have been able to jump in and stop it.
