happened to my younger brother and his 97 legacy last year. his car drained while it was in his friends driveway and had to get his friends dad to help him get everything squared away.

I get mine done at Wal Mart for cheap. They're good too, so I'm not complaining. I once took my car to Jiffy Lube...What a mistake... It took forever, alot more money, they tried to sell me a bunch of shit I didn't need and I lost alot of mpg after that.

Boy striving for attention. You get what you pay for. If you cannot change your own oil then you can't complain so much. 5w-30 and 5w-20 is not much different. They probably put some crap oil filter on for you.

If you really care about your car you wouldn't let anyone else do it. I've seen and heard too many horror stories about oil changing places.

striving for attention? :dunno: not at all, man. and right, even if that were my objective im sure that doesnt line up perfectly w/ a bunch of other members and their threads on this board

and yeah they did put in a crap oil filter. i do care about my car but i do this b/c i believe its more convenient than coming home after work to change my oil in below freezing weather. but hey, i was wrong. ive only had good experiences in the past w/ the places i go, so i was being naive.

You have to be a retard to go to one of those one stop places in the first place. Who brings a BMW to one of those places? That's even more retarded. Change it yourself or bring it to a good mechanic or the dealer both of which probably hardly charge more and are probably more skilled and accountable. I mean I've heard they put the drain plug on with an airgun.

Solution: For the same price as you pay those idiots you can put in Mobil1 Synthetic with a top of the line filter.
