ehh...I wouldn't buy a Mig from Home Depot to save my life.

Go to a welding shop and check their used section...Miller 135 is about as small as I would go if you are doing any decent amount of welding and even then I would look at their 220 (I think it is)...stay completely away from any 110V based MIG unless you are only doing 1/16" sheet metal or aluminum welding in short bursts.

even that miller 135 is kinda small. I will agree though to stay away from 110 unless you are just using it for very very small jobs.

$200 gets you a nice booger welder (ARC) but expect to pay a bit more for a decent MIG that will stay with you as you grow. I am looking at the Miller 175 which used is going to run me close to $400 or so if I can find one, new they are in the $800 range and are decent enough to be with me a few years. Millers also hold a good resale value.

I'd just want one for small welds, like holes or fixing body panels.

You want to get a TIG then...TIG is the shit for body panel work but it's gonna cost ya and you are definitley going to want to take some classes.
