I'd get better at playing the set before you attempt a double bass. Its alot harder than you think.

but if this was your $458.95 would you buy it??
Yes you can, but I warn you, a decent double bass will be atleast 100.

If this was my 458, no, but simply because I do not play set very much. If you feel that you want to do it, but don't want a used, then go for it. It seems, to me, like a good deal.

High hat, crash, high hat stand, 2 cymbal stands, throne, Ludwig 5 piece set, 4 new heads. I think its a good deal. It might help for you to sit on it for a week or so. Take a look around, go to a few music shops and talk to the drum salesmen, let them know right away you aren't thinking about buying yet(Even though you are) If you go to a good place(like Guitar Center if theres one near you), they'll be honest with you and help you out.

Its hard to get a decent set for under 500.

but you do consider this good right , i know its not going to be a proffesional type kit. but atleast somthing 1. I can learn on 2. i will enjoy and be able to play everyday without going "dammit i should have bought the pacific set or i should have just bought a pearl set"

I have the Pacific 5 piece EZ set. Since you're planning on changing out the heads and cymbals...it's a decent starter kit. I really haven't had any problems with the kit...but it doesn't come with a throne...but I got one for like $20 at a Pawn Shop (new). The hardware is pretty good, no complaints yet...and I've had the kit for a year now. I'd recommend it...but I'm not much of a drummer anymore...I'm a guitar whore now.
