Yep, and it's amazing how the people who complain about "racism" are in fact the ones who propagate it most. People are so over sensitive...if someone is directly making fun of you directly and using your race, it means they're an asshole and need to be hit with something hard and heavy. If someone is making fun of a race in general without putting that race down, it means they're kidding around. Don't tell me you've never made fun of white people. I don't see why you wouldn't, I do it all the time.

When I was a senior in HS I was making fun of native american reservations and this teacher tried to write me up for it because she was 10% native american and soooo offended...then she found out that I'm almost a quarter native american and suddenly it was different. Idiots

 

What you interpret as racism wasn't intended as racism at all, it was just a dude kidding around.

 

If some black or asian guy said "Hey! Let's get some honkie burgers!" I would actually laugh.

If they said, " lets get some fuckin gay ass chink food like that guy down the hall on our floor..." then you could say something (pending your asian)

But i highly doubt they are trying to piss anyone off...

I just feel IMO, that people that hear the slightest racial remark, comment or joke have nothing better to do than "play the race card"

I had to take a workplace sensitivity class a few years ago due to new legal issues that may arise. One of the things mentioned in that class is that it makes no difference how the person saying it intended it, it is how the person hearing it receives it.

Basically this means any sexual innuendo, racially slurred comment etc. could be mosconstrued by anyone regardless of intent.

 

but here's the thing ... if I'm Chinese, I'm Chinese ... it's in my blood. By saying something like "Ching Chong", how can I NOT be offended?


Someone tell me the difference between "ching chong" and "n*gger". Don't mean to pull Jae into this, but what if we were all to refer to black people as n*ggers ... but not Jae, he's cool. I'm pretty sure he'd still be offended.

You can't make fun of an entire race without making fun of the individuals that belong to it.

 

There were these kids that where whiter than white, canadians would call them honkey they were so white.

They thought I was asian or something.

So they were following me around saying "do something asian do something asian... do something asian" over and over "do something asian do something asian" it was really annoying... "do something asian do something asian do something asian"

So I hit one of them with my moms Honda.
