Default Which card?

which credit card do you guys use for the majority of your purchases. I have used a debit card for the past 2 years or so, and I want to get a credit card in order to start establishing some credit. Which card would you suggest?

The Capitol One no hassle card was a piece of junk so I just paid it off and got rid of it. I have been really pleased with my MBNA card. I have a fixed rate of around 9% and any balance transfers I transfer to the card has a 2% rate.

A lot of people are suckered into the 0% cards but that is only for a limited time and most of the time they jump to like 18% after the 1st year.

Werd. I'm about to cancel my Capital One card because they gave me a stupid low credit limit, despite the rate being good. I just got an MBNA card with great terms and a 0% APR on balance transfers for 18 months.

GSR444, if you're in college you should look into your University's credit union if they have one. They'll likely give you a better rate/credit limit than most of the big banks for your first card. I got my first card through the University of Colorado Federal Credit Union, 13.9% APR & $1000 credit limit, no annual fee. Had to maintain a savings account with at least a $25.00 balance in it, but the terms weren't half bad for somebody with no credit history. I still have that card, but don't use it a whole lot since it's been eclipsed by cards with better limits and APRs in the six years since I've got it.

I have a miles card through Chase and United. I love it since I am going to use it to go to back Italy for free, maybe later this year.

AMEX is also nice if you don't plan on carrying a roll over balance on it. They charge a lot so some stores won't accept them.

Any card with 0% financing or any card which give you back $ for every $1 you spend.
