Default Anyone ever fix a broken TV?

my sony shut off....and i turned it back on, but it doesn't fully turn it. It clicks and the red LED standby lights goes on 4 flashes.

I found out if the LED flashes 4 times it means
"FOUR Blinks---No Vert. Deflection (V STOP), Screen goes to a single horizontal line then the video signal muted. Check IC1509, Q1505"

I dont know how to check IC1509, Q1505 or have any idea what it is.

anyone familair?

on most newer tv's they will tell you to just replace the TV... unless it's a projection tv and can be fixed with a bulb or something of that nature.

everything is IC and noone wants to touch it.

well i just found out it is pretty common w/ my sony model. Alot of owners reported about 7 years of use. I guess thats the built-in life expectancy.
