Escape - Ford ... :a:

Freelander - most expensive out of the group. You'll end up paying for the name rather than features.

CR-V - questionable styling, dependable, good on gas ... lacks power

Tribute - rebadged Ford :a:

Rav 4 - same as the CR-V

do you need the SUV? Would you consider a wagon?

Landrover
Yes i mean SUV... I need something high the reason i am think about getting on of these it to be able to park the car in winter even when all the fucking sluch turned to ice. Right now my Teg in taking a beating on the bottom of the car... And Freelander is not really more explensve then the others on the list.

Hmm ... I'd go with the Rav-4.

It looks the best, has the best milage, great interior, more compact on the outside, great space on the inside.

I like the hood vent too. h:

Extera - its roomy compared to the other japanese models. But like e3nine said, it does feel cheap inside.

- the underside of the shifter button isn't finished
- the center arm rest is 5 inches wide and isn't placed in a good spot to actually rest my arm.
- glovebox never lines up
- the dash is loaded with expansion ports for future buttons ... even fully loaded, your dash doesn't have all the button areas filled. It constantly feels like something is missing or you got the lower model
- the seat's material (grated cloth) isn't comfortable
- the seats are mounted low ... it felt like I was sitting like a frog when I was driving it. (I'm 6ft tall)
- nothing is in reach ... I'd have to stretch just to get to a control
- the sun visor is too thin ... it feels like a thick piece of cardboard

I'd go w/ the element, but not listed. Next, CR-V.
