The car jerked as if the crank (if it did go) went right then and there. I don't know if that would cause the car to stall. :dunno: All I know is that the garage said they were sure it was the crankshaft. Arrg.

Put it on a lift and take a thesescope to the bitch and run it through the gears. You'd hear an internal grind or whirring noise, depending how far along in it's death it is h:

I still don't think it's your crank man. You 2-3 symptoms towards a transmission/clutch issue and none in my mind pointing towards crank walk.

Oh and it's pretty bad, it shifts like a total piece of shit too, I want it fully rebuilt this summer. It's an awesome tranny, it's just in rough shape.
