:chuckles: He could get a D-Series block from the junkyard for cheapo deapo. Probably looking at $300-$400, max.

If the car is reliable and driveable, if you swing up to NH and can somehow get the new longblock up here with you, I'd be happy to install it for you on a weekend.

Mitsubishi kills me. Poor molten metal they use to cast the blocks from, if you ever build those motors you almost always have to deck the blocks. The bearings are fucking a joke because they never seat right. Terrible.

I've had to help my buddy's replace two of their engines a little after 100K because of spun bearings.

Well, I was factoring in the cost of labor as well, since not most people know how to do engine swaps. :dunno: I've participated in a couple of them, including a pita probe gt swap but I'd still be reluctant to do one on my own.

Well, I was factoring in the cost of labor as well, since not most people know how to do complete engine swaps. :dunno: I've participated in a couple of them, including a pita probe gt swap but I'd still be reluctant to do one on my own.

B-Series isn't any harder IMO, just more time consuming.
Never done an H22 into a Civic

If I decide to swap out the block I'm going to do it. Money is the real issue. I have a couple friends who will buy it as is and just swap out the motor. If I am getting another car, my parents are going to cosign a loan for me. So it's either wait until April when I start working so I can get a new block or just get rid of it. :hs:

So you still haven't told us the symptoms. If you tell me, I can help you diagnose the problem.

Drive it until it dies and then swap out the block.
