I use my shopvac to suck the dirt out of the filter with each oil change and at 20-30k I just replace it, depending on how it looks.

Yeah, I heard that somewhere, no one every told me why so I assumed it was bs. It was in fourth or something so it had some load but not much.

I didn't say it was a good idea. I didn't do it again.

I just had it idling in gear today while I was pushing the cable into the trans because we have this ghetto rigged hose clamp thing making it work. One person has to watch the speedo while the other one pushes it in and tightens the hose clamp. h:

Why is free revving bad? I've never got a good answer.
