The pack now is HP. The new unopened ones are philips

i onyl use cd's for vcd's...

some older cd players have issues with playing black cdrs

The black ones are more scratch resistant. Or so PNY claimed when they sold 'em.

I've never seen a sale like that but I'll keep my eyes peeled. I'm a music whore so everyday I check to see if there's anything I want and d/l if so. Good thing my Monte can play CD-R's and MP3's or I'd be SOL.

Awesome if that's true, but I find it highly unlikely. Besides, it's takes next to nothing to scratch a CD-R, so even if it is MORE scratch resistant, it likely wouldn't mean much.

u know if you use nero... you can burn 81-82 minutes onto one cd...

it helps when youre a few seconds over.

eh, figure out a way to get 100 minutes on there and then come talk to me (w/o burning a mp3 cd or a data cd)

i tried that on 2 older burners... but the farthest ive gotten was 84 minutes. h:
