Most of the jobs i get is from people finding me...so that means unless i fit to the "T" what they want...there's no way i can get a job

That is how I found my current job. Networking is crucial. Thankfully now that I have broken into my industry it is much easier to find other jobs.

Wait a minute...does this:

"In the new system, federal regulators will be checking to see that companies are keeping diversity data on all applicants, according to a new, more uniform definition of "applicant.""

Mean they are talking about the diversity of actual qualification or is this a racial equality issue? Seems to me online is pretty nondescript and the best people to potentially fit the job are the ones who are called for interviews.

Am I worng here and am I missing their meaning behind "diversity"?
