the stuff your looking for is called cellulose. the blowing insulation. and yes if you buy 10 bags at home depot they rent you the machine for the whole day. 5 bags and you get it for i think 4 hours or somthin like that. heres a link to the website. they also got a vid on how to install it.

If it's only two walls, they'll be in-and out in 3hrs. :run:

treue but last time i called for estimates it wwas a base price for a certain sq footage which was a bit more than my 2 walls so it weas like 500 for 2 walls
oh well we'll see
Interesting thread. I have been thinking about redoing my house as well but was just going to go with the rollout insulation. Hell if I can just buy a couple bags of insulation and get the machine tossed in for a day or so then thats a great deal.

The good about the blue sheets is they are something like R34 rated and are cheap and relativley easy to install (no brainer really). The bad is that if you get an electrical short in the wall which sparks off the foam then your walls will be burnt down faster than you could imagine so you have to make sure all of your electrical is completely up to par and not overloaded.

yea our house has none since it was made in 1920s... but the garage was made into the master bedroom and it was added.. and it was exteneded to add a bigger living room and it was added there...and the other 2 rooms were added when the windows were changed so my room is all that is left, but i have 2 walls that lead outside and the jerks forgot to tell my parents about it till after they took the windows out and put the new ones in...
