aren't you working as a contract hire right now? what about the company you're working for, aren't they laying off 7,000 people?

what good is health insurance if you're terminated in March?

call up your car insurance provider ... if you're with all-state, state farm, or a big namer, they do offer individual packages. You might get a discount if you bundle it with your car ins. It's not smart to walk around w.o. insurance for 6 months.

A 1 night stay in the hospital runs 3 to 4K.

Im with a company that is contracted out with merck but im actually a direct employee with the company so i get benefits, PTO, all that stuff. And yes...they are laying off 7k people. They say we're not going to be affected but that's what they always tell you.,q

when you say 48K ... are you talking 48K over 6 months of work? or 24K since you're working 6 months?

as in im getting $23/hourly until i become an employee and then after that it'll become negotiable with the likelihood of low 50's.

I just found out that they are changing our insurance companies and insurance is going up $10....there goes my raise right there
