i got my W2 yesterday, my total years earnings were just shy of 19,700 and i struggle. no rent.... just 53/week for truck payment, ~150/month for insurance, and ~60 for cell phone.... whatever else goes to gas and necessities (some food, stuff like soap and razors etc)

This is what happens to most people in divorces. One person is far and away the breadwinner of the family, and the other person gets used to a nice lifestyle. Once the divorce happens, the lower paid of the two wants to stay in that lifestyle, and therefore tries to get as much money as possible. It's bullshit IMO, you should live in the lifestyle you can afford...not leech it off of somebody else.
