as i said in the other forum:

pci express is newer and better than agp
but that is not to say agp is total carp. if you have an agp port then i would bet that you dont have a pcie port
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Accelerated_Graphics_Port
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pci_express

imo the x850xt pe is the best agp card today. ive seen rumors of the latest generation of ati cards to be released on agp (specifically the x1600)

thats a good price for that card but i say if you dont need it dont get it and 1. see what is on the horizon for agp or 2. just build a new computer

and you should consider more ram

get the ati x700 or x800/850 and 512 more ram
the ram will be about $30-$100+ depending on what you get
for ram stick with a good name brand like kingston, crucial, corsiar, mushkin or ocz, all of which are available through newegg

agp is still good
pci is not the same as pcie
sapphire makes video cards using an ati gpu, so does asus and a few others, sapphire makes good stuff
that memory might work, what kind do you have now though, the speeds should be the same, ie pc 3200 or pc 3500 ect
