It's to hard for me to say. I'm only 18. I do know my kids are fucked though. This generation's children will not be able to find a single stash spot from us.h:

omg hell yes...when they were ready...I hate parents who deny/hide what they did from their children and then punish them for the exact thing you were trying to figure out when you were there age.......same rules for my kids as my parents had.....If it isnt hurting your grades your overall health and you dont get busted....have at it....but as soon as it does...the shoe goes up the ass

honestly, i wouldn't have a problem talking to my son(s) and or daughter(s) about my experiences. i have always felt very open with people, and i believe just simply sitting down and talking about experiences and events is the best way to communicate to ANYONE.

of course it would be at an appropriate time though.

That's what I tell everyone. I've been smoking since I was 13. I've held B's throughout highschool. I got the highest NOCTI score in my shop, I was recognized outside of my school by 3 companies for my graphic design work, I'm very skillful and rather smart. The outcome of a smoker is soley based on how that person decided to handle themselves.

absolteuly agree with you. personally, my parents have always been pretty open ... for asian parents. as the years went on, they continued to become more and more relaxed with my ways, but they still would never approve of drinking at parties to get drunk, drugs, etc etc.

its absolutely ridiculous the way some parents think. if you tell someone to not do something, human nature raises the curiosity. i'd much rather have my children be educated and comfortable than aimlessly plunging into the dark trying who knows what.

one of my life philosophies that ive always stuck by is that "if it doesn't kill you, or get you really fucked up in life, then its worth trying atleast once"

exactly....I mean pot is whatever....but if I start finding hits of acid/x/etc then we mite have to have a more serious talk cause that shit is a bit more advanced...I wouldnt neccesarily yell/punish, just make sure they understand the consequences of said drugs and the true effects etc.

Yep

I have told my oldest that if she has any questions about drugs she can ask me and I will tell her. I have also asked that if she feels the need to try any drugs that she let me know and we will sit down and discuss it and try it out together.

I know it sounds fucked up but I would rather have her do it with me and know she didn't get dosed or something worse than the other option. I am not saying it will be enjoyable either because I am going to bum her ride the whole way by talking all serious and not making it the fun it could be.

again, absolutely agree with your statement.

high school grades have always been high, over 4.0 GPA, high SAT scores, involved in sports and extra currciular activies (clubs and such), have no problem working at my jobs...

My parents would freak if I did drugs. I'm afraid to tell them that I've even smoked before. I don't like disappointing my parents..
