There's a
a. I plead NOT GUILTY and request a trial
b. I plead Guilty

But here's the thing....wouldnt the cop have to be there and all that stuff if i requested a trial. I dont wanna go through all that cus then id have to pay for court fees and all that stuff..there's no way to just go and say hey judge i wanna talk to you about this ticket and call it a day?

option A on that ...

It's your word against the cop. If the cop is there, you're screwed. The judge will never, ever go against his guy's word. If the cop isn't there, it's your word against nobody's, you'll have a better shot of supervision with no points.

The officer is told when he has a court date, it's optional for him to be there, but he's always invited.

If a cop doesn't show, you will have the charges dismissed. Happened to me when I got a ticket in HS and the cop was an asshat. He said if I went to court he would tell the judge I was going faster than what the ticket stated. There were like 20 of us that were pulled over by this guy and he did not show at court. We had our charges dismissed and as we were leaving the courthouse he was rushing in the door. We all laughed at him.

I agree. Go visit him at the police station. Bake him some cookies or offer to cook him dinner. :jae:

I was just doing some reading on careless driving tickets.
The way they give you those is if they can see you having a blantant disregard for the well being and safety of other people, it's a mindset type thing. Now i was using turn signals...if i was really wanting to harm people...i would not have used a turn signal...correct
