Learning Languages(Gaelic)
Anyone know of a series of books that are good for teaching new languages? One of my best friends really wants to learn Gaelic(Irish language) and its her birthday coming up soon so I thought it would be fun to get her a book that teaches how to speak the language, but I'm kinda having a hard time finding a book that would be good. I doubt anyone here can speak the language but I know someone here can help me find a good book. Anything will help!
Umm...Gaelic is nto a widely published or sought after language and is shrouded in variances by region in how it is spoken.
Good luck finding a book o it.

I was actually @ my GF's father's, partner's house the other day for a holiday party.
His son is 23, most intelligent person I have ever met, and not arrogant @ all. But he taught himself 5 or 6 languages all on his own. I was askin him how he did it, and his number one word of advice was to get a base of 1,000-1,500 words. He said if you can have those words/phrases down pact, you can easly pick up any language.
I thinik he can speak, english, french, spanish, mandern(sp?) and I forget the rest
