It is a freakin hen. They are here to eat, lay eggs, and them to be eaten.

 

So what do you propose they do? Free range chickens?

If they were to have them as free range chickens then the $1.40 a dozen you pay now would shoot up to about $3.50+ a dozen and then you would bitch and moan about that too.

Next your going to cry about the way cattle are slaughtered or the way they are kept in feed yards

 

Cage free eggs are $3.19 at Publix, for the ones I remember the price for. As opose to $1.19 for Publix brand large eggs.

 

I can live without my $2. My parents are big hippies, what can I say.

Plus, eggs kind of suck anyway.

 

I can't believe nightshade doesn't find the hens cutsie ootsie. I want to play with one. I would name one Lucy and the other Chaniqua.

I would have the most culturally diverse egg farm in the world.

 

I worked on farms and ranches for a good chunk of time. When I see cattle, chickens, ducks, turkeys etc. all I see is product.

 

I have too, but I used to get attatched the the amimals. It was funny. Poor Gizmo. Poor earthquake.

Earthquake had brain damage. He was a goat. He used to bhaaaa and shake. Earthquake was going to be put asleep until the vet said he wasn't in pain, so they kept him. And I named him Earthquake. Me and Earthquake were buddies.

And then the other sons of bitchin goats killed Earthquake. Stupid fucking goats.
