Somewhat, but their payroll is still less than HALF of the Yanks.

 

Yankees payroll is still significantly less then last year, as they lost Brown and Williams 15 million per year deals.
But out of the yankees starting lineup the only player to be making less then 10 million dollars is Cano @322K and whoever they choose to DH

Yankees pitching is Decent now.... Johnson, Mussina, Pavano, Wang, chacon, with Wright and small as #6 and 7. Granted Wright is garbage but for a #6 starter he is not bad. Chicago is clearly the exception when it comes to pitching rotations


Mets payroll is in the 130million range. Yankees are prolly going to top out around 210 i think

Not too current, but still fairly accurate in terms of Mets vs. Yanks payroll.

 

and the oakland a's there pay roll is 62,329,166.00 that has to say something about the yanks! a team with way less then half of of there payroll still compete's and wins against them!
