Just a minor request from me, for my own amusement, and hell maybe even yours.

I was looking at seeing that movie Syriana, the one with George Clooney, Matt Damon, the doctor from Star Trek Deep Space Nine and some other folks, about oil companies and such. On the yahoo user reviews, and the IMDb discussion boards, there are of course lots of republican type folks bashing the movie because it disagrees with their politics.

So, I'd love for a few of you to go see this movie and post what you have to say, and I promise I won't even try and contradict you. Because if you think about it, if you go spend your 9 bucks to go line the pockets of an evil hollywood liberal like George Clooney (who produced it), you've already sort of helped my cause, but yeah, that's not why I want you to see it. I just want to see what you folks' reactions are.

I don't go to the movies anymore. People are just too rude for me to be able to stand a big crowd of them like that. Consequently, can't comment until it comes out on video/DVD

i'd rather a movie like this were made by some bipartisan fellow. not a wacko out-of-touch liberal like clooney. so i probably won't see it. and i certainly don't want to support him or any liberal while their views are so much against mine. likewise, i haven't seen most of michael moore's crap..
