well 10Mb/s can be slow but 100Mb/s is not. And if it is slow you have issues. Like its only running in half duplex or 10 not 100

unfortunately, you can't find a switch or router intended for home use, produced in the last 5 years, that isn't 10/100Mb/s.

whatever it may be running at i dont care anymore. i hooked up the xover cable and it works now. i just had to move like 4 gigs off the lappy to the desktop
